FAQs

Have a question? Here are the ones I get most often.

  • My work centers on corporate events, branded content, executive and customer storytelling, and outdoor cinematography. If you need same-day event highlights, a drone operator who understands the full production, or a camera operator willing to snowboard down a mountain with a gimbal — I'm the right fit. The one thing I don't do: weddings.

  • I'm based in the Bay Area and available for projects nationwide. I travel regularly for events and shoots across the U.S. and am selectively available for work in Europe and other compatible time zones. I'm not currently taking on projects in opposite-timezone markets like Asia — a deliberate choice that keeps my response time and availability high for clients who need fast communication and reliable delivery.

  • currently have projects on the books through February 2027. If you're planning something in Q3–Q4 2026 or beyond, earlier outreach is always better. I'd rather have the conversation early than tell you I'm unavailable.

  • Yes — same-day editing is a core part of what I do for corporate events. I can shoot, edit, and deliver 30–60 second highlight reels by 6 p.m. for multi-day conferences. It requires production planning in advance, so if same-day delivery is a requirement, mention it upfront and we'll build it into the workflow from the start.

  • It depends on the scope. Same-day and rapid-turnaround edits are available for qualifying event projects. For longer-form branded content and post-production work, timelines are project-dependent and agreed on before we start. I don't take on projects I can't deliver on time.

  • Both. I operate as a self-contained one-person production for many projects — handling capture, audio, and post myself. For larger events or more complex productions, I can scale up with a crew of trusted collaborators I've worked alongside for over a decade. Either way, you have one point of contact.

  • My primary camera is the Red Komodo X, with Canon B cameras for multi-camera setups. I bring full gimbal systems, professional lighting and audio, a comprehensive lens kit, and a professional drone fleet. Everything needed to run a clean, self-contained production.

  • Yes. I hold an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification and have been flying commercially since 2013 — well before most operators entered the space. I've deployed drones in dense forests, alpine ridgelines, open desert, coastlines, ski resorts, and urban airspace. Every flight is planned with safety and compliance first. For projects requiring airspace coordination or complex flight planning, earlier contact is better so we have time to do it right.

  • Raw footage is available as a deliverable on request. Most clients receive finished edits, highlight reels, social-ready cuts, captions, and thumbnails — organized in clearly labeled folders for easy reuse across platforms. If you need raw files on top of that, just let me know upfront.

  • Most projects are fixed-fee. For local clients interested in ongoing work, retainer arrangements are available. Every project is different, so the best way to get an accurate number is to reach out with your brief and I'll put together a custom quote.

  • Straightforward. You reach out, we talk through the project, I put together a quote. Once we're aligned on scope, deliverables, and timeline, we get to work. I don't have a complicated onboarding system — most of my clients are repeat collaborators or come through referrals, so the process tends to move quickly.

  • Clients span corporate events, healthcare organizations, nonprofits, resort brands, and Fortune 500 companies. Notable projects include national coverage for HFMA conferences, weekly resort content for Bretton Woods, a seven-year YouTube build for Greg's Restoration, and a fundraising film for the Dimock Center that helped raise over $100,000 in a single evening. I also freelance regularly with LMV Productions and other production companies when larger crews are needed.
